Cartoon Network relaunched Cartoon Planet about a week ago. It shows episodes from our beloved Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends and other classic cartoon shows from back when the network's name accurately described what they broadcast. Basically, it's Zorak and Brak from the old show introducing the cartoons, along with other skits.

The first episodes of Cartoon Planet will have shorter episodes from the other series. For example, "Sight for Sore Eyes" was in the pilot episode. On April 27, they will begin showing full episodes. Looks like they will show three episodes, so they are probably going to alter the title sequences and/or the credits to fit in the Cartoon Planet title sequence and all the other skits and introductions that Zorak and Brak will have.

Current line-up is:

  • Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends
  • Camp Lazlo
  • Chowder
  • Codename: Kids Next Door
  • Courage the Cowardly Dog
  • Cow and Chicken
  • Dexter's Laboratory
  • Dial "M" for Monkey
  • Ed, Edd n Eddy
  • Evil Con Carne
  • The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy
  • I Am Weasel
  • Johnny Bravo
  • The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack
  • My Gym Partner's a Monkey
  • The Powerpuff Girls

Many of these series haven't been released on DVD or have only seen a partial release in specific parts of the world. I am looking forward to watching them again.

Cartoon Planet is on Friday nights at 8 p.m. Eastern and Pacific.
