Preparation Ape is a large, pink imaginary friend who resembles an orangutan or other species of ape.
History[]
Little is known about Preparation Ape or his backstory. He makes his first appearance in "Adoptcalypse Now". Mac is launching a bunch of small imaginary friends back inside the house using a slingshot to prevent them from being adopted on Adopt-a-Thought Saturday. Preparation Ape, who is clearly too large to be flung like the other friends, puts his hand on the slingshot as if to stop Mac from flinging any more friends. Mac ends up launching Preparation Ape into the house as well, landing him on top of Bloo and flattening him.
In "Duchess of Wails", Mac and Bloo are attempting to get Duchess back into Foster's by tying her to a ladder and then launching it towards the window. However, Preparation Ape is standing on the balcony awaiting them to do so only so he could push the ladder as well as Duchess back down again. This happens repeatedly until Mac and Bloo realize that that approach wasn't going to work.
In "Bad Dare Day", Preparation Ape dares Bloppy Pants to punch a friend on the buttocks, to which Bloppy Pants accepts and proceeds to do so to Frankie Foster. Bloppy Pants then dares Preparation Ape to lay outside by the pool without applying sunscreen. Preparation Ape is unable to do it due to getting a bad sunburn and proceeds to apply large amounts of sunscreen, declaring Bloppy Pants the winner of that round of the Foster's Dare Cup.
