  • This episode borrows numerous trademark elements from "The Powerpuff Girls," another popular show by Craig McCracken.
  • Mac references G.I. Joe, Fat Albert, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (specifically Michalengelo) and Scooby-Doo whenever he tries a new catchphrase.
  • The show Jackie Khones was watching was a scene from "One False Movie."
  • Bloo resembles Darth Vader when he becomes Lord Uniscorn.
    • The scene in which he is transformed into Lord Uniscorn is similar to the scene in which Anakin Skywalker is transformed into Vader in Revenge of the Sith.
    • He also makes a reference to the famous "I am your father" scene from The Empire Strikes Back, quoting it almost word-for-word.
  • Bloo's repetitive, extravagant speech as Lord Uniscorn is likely a reference to the way Mojo Jojo talks.
  • Bloo's superhero look appears as an unlockable bonus costume for him in Cartoon Network Punch Time Explosion XL.
  • This is the only episode shows Mac's karate skills.
